Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Tour Guide Albania, we design bespoke, high-touch luxury itineraries, private transfers, premium accommodation bookings, and specialized excursions (such as yacht charters and guided alpine treks). Because these services are customized end-to-end, our cancellation and refund parameters reflect our obligations to local service operators and safety protocols.

1. Deposit & Booking Confirmation

To confirm a custom itinerary, booking design package, or reserve dates for dedicated operations, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of reservation. This deposit is used to lock in private guides, high-end hotel allocations, charter boats, and secure logistics paths. The remaining 70% balance is due 30 days prior to the scheduled start date of the journey.

2. Cancellation Timeline & Fees

If you wish to cancel all or part of your booked itinerary, notice must be received in writing (via email or direct authenticated WhatsApp coordinator channels). The following fee schedule applies relative to your scheduled arrival:

  • More than 45 days prior to arrival: Fully refundable minus the initial 30% booking deposit.
  • 30 to 45 days prior to arrival: 50% of the total booking price is non-refundable.
  • 15 to 29 days prior to arrival: 75% of the total booking price is non-refundable.
  • Less than 15 days prior to arrival / No-show: 100% of the total booking price is non-refundable.

3. Weather, Safety & Force Majeure

Luxury yacht charters, alpine hikes, helicopter transits, and specific outdoor excursions are heavily dependent on weather conditions and safety standards.

  • If a scheduled excursion is cancelled by Tour Guide Albania due to adverse weather warnings, safety risks, or local force majeure, we will first offer alternative scheduling or swap it with a comparable indoor/coastal experience.
  • If no viable alternative can be arranged, a full refund for that specific service component will be issued.
  • We are not responsible for cancellation of auxiliary travel logistics (e.g., flight delays, airline cancellations, passport/visa issues). We strongly recommend acquiring comprehensive international travel insurance.

4. Experience Modifications

We understand that travel dynamics change. You may request modifications to your custom itinerary up to 14 days before arrival. While we do not charge administration fees for adjustments, any price increases from partners (e.g. upgrades to yachts, changes in villa rentals, peak season adjustments) will be passed directly to the client.

5. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed within 7 to 10 business days. Refunds will be sent to the original payment source (bank wire transfer, credit card transaction, or verified secure link).
